Beyonce Pregnant: Jay-Z 'Ecstatic' Over Becoming a Dad
Soon-to-be dad, Jay-Z had a huge grin following wife Beyoncé Knowles’ pregnancy announcement at the 2011 Video Music Awards on Sunday.
Following her song “Love on Top,” Beyoncé removed her jacket, smiling as she rubbed her belly.
People attending the VMA’s went wild upon learning the couple was expecting. Jay-Z was spotted in the crowd with Kanye West – beaming as Kanye proceeded to congratulate him.

“Jay is ecstatic and over the moon,” a source told US Weekly. “He really wanted this so badly.”
According to the source, Beyoncé is about four months pregnant and was planning on keeping the baby news a secret.
“She wasn’t going to announce it but she is so excited she couldn’t hold it in,” said the source.
Before her commanding performance, Beyoncé told viewers on Sunday, “Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet – I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me!”
The power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z was married in 2008. Since then, there have been many pregnancy rumors that have been shot down – but on August 28 Beyoncé confirmed the exciting news in front of millions.
The singer told CNN’s Piers Morgan in June that she wanted to get pregnant.
“I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age [to start a family], because you're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite -- but you're young enough to be a young woman," Beyoncé said. "I'm so looking forward to it."
She added, "I always said I'd have a baby at 30. But I also said I'm going to retire at 30. ... Only God knows."
There was great excitement from the audience following Beyoncé's “baby revelation."
