Beyonce Pregnant: Star Reemerges for 30th Birthday After Baby Confirmed at VMA 2011

Beyoncé, mother to be, celebrated her 30th birthday on Sept 4 in Italy. The singer arrived in the city of Venice with her rapper-husband Jay-Z last week, according to the Daily Mail. The two were spotted having dinner in the city and relaxing on a luxury yacht.

On the yacht, Beyoncé was joined by the likes of actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The 38-year-old actress was in Venice to promote a movie but was photographed giving her friend an envelope with what looked to be a birthday card.

This is the first time the two have been photographed since Beyoncé announced that she was pregnant at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The singer re-emerged for her birthday celebration, which included a party aboard the yacht in which guests like singer Erykah Badu were in attendance.

Earlier this year, Beyoncé spoke with Piers Morgan about turning 30.

"I can't wait, because 29 is very strange,” the singer told Morgan. “You're still in your 20s but you feel like you're supposed to be 30, and I feel like a woman. I'm very aware of who I am.”

As if right on cue, the entertainer spoke about her age signifying the time to build her family with husband Jay-Z.

“I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age (to start a family), because you're mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite - but you're young enough to be a young woman. I'm so looking forward to it," Beyoncé said in the interview.

During her interview with Morgan, it seemed the singer knew that ringing in her next birthday would mean preparing for a new birth.

"I always said I'd have a baby at 30. But I also said I'm going to retire at 30,” she told Morgan. “Only God knows."
