Bruce Jenner Manicured Nails Not Proof of Sex Change, Says Kris (VIDEO)

Kris Jenner recently denied reports claiming her estranged husband Bruce is becoming a woman and she suggested that critics are reading too much into his outward appearance.

Bruce, 64, was recently photographed sporting manicured nails while leaving a Beverly Hills medical facility. He reportedly underwent a "laryngeal shave" procedure to flatten his adam's apple, which fueled the bizarre rumors last week.

Kris, who separated from the former Olympic athlete in October, said he is not in transition to become a woman.

"Ninety-nine percent of the stuff in the tabloids is made up," Kris told "Entertainment Tonight."

"I think when he gets his nails buffed they put clear [nail polish]," she continued. "The bottom line is we sell magazines."

Bruce, 64, previously denied that he is becoming a woman but admitted that he does not like his trachea. The surgery reports remain unconfirmed.

"I just never liked my trachea," he told TMZ.com.

Kris claims the false rumors about Bruce wanting to become a woman have been circulating since the 1970s. The pair, who shares two daughters Kendall and Kylie and a number of stepchildren, has been married 22 years.

"That is not happening," Kris said on the "Today" show. "That is a story that they keep regurgitating from the '70s... it's so old!"

Bruce, who is featured on the Kardashian-Jenner family's hit E! reality show, appears to be moving forward with his life since moving out of his and Kris' marital home in Hidden Hills. A new report claims he is being considered for the next season of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."

"He's dying to do it... the show is close to locking him in," a source told Us magazine.

"He would have fun with it," his stepson Robert Kardashian said.

Rob, 26, placed second during his own stint on the thirteenth season of "Dancing with the Stars."
