Carrie Fisher Cracks Drug Addiction Jokes During Monologue at Daytime Emmy's

Carrie Fisher hinted at her past addictions at the 40th annual Daytime Emmy Awards Sunday night while presenting an award for Best Animated show.

The actress best known for her role as Princess Leia in "Star Wars," opened up her monologue with, "Hi, I'm Carrie, I'm an alcoholic. And a drug addict."

Fisher went on continuing to poke fun at herself before making light of former addict Ozzy Osbourne.

"Our nominees take us into worlds we have never seen before. Unless, like Ozzy and myself, you have taken acid. We have the same dealer, in which case this category doesn't apply to you," she said.

She was to present the award to her "Star Wars" director, George Lucas, who won for his show "Clone Wars," based off of the popular franchise.

Fisher said the nominees "have not taken acid, at least not with me, which really is the only way to do it, as most of you know," she said, according to The Daily News. "Right, George?" she added, looking at Lucas.

She then bragged about using so much cocaine while filming "The Empire Strikes Back" that John Belushi told her to slow down, which drew a slew of awkward laughs, according The Fix.

Other winners included "Days of Our Lives" for Best Drama, "CBS News Sunday Morning" for Best Morning Show, and "Dr. Oz" for best information talk show category.

Doug Davidson won for Best Actor on "The Young and the Restless," and "The Price is Right" won for Best Game Show.

Ben Bailey won for Best Gameshow Host for Discovery Channel's "Cash Cab," which was recently canceled.
