Charles Manson Married? 25-Year-Old Devotee Says 'This is What I Was Born For'

Charles Manson may be behind bars for the rest of his life, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a social life. In fact, the 79-year-old serial killer may be getting married, according to a 25-year-old devotee who says that the marriage "is what I was born for."

The young woman, whom Manson named Star, visits the convicted killer up to five hours every Saturday and Sunday and runs several websites to advocate for Manson's freedom. She is fully devoted to him, and has been since she was 19 and looking for someone, or something, to believe in. As she told Rolling Stone magazine, her parents raised her in the Baptist tradition, which she saw as rather limiting.

"I was smoking marijuana, eating mushrooms, not wanting to go to church every Sunday," Star said, so her parents allegedly kept her locked in her room. She learned of Manson from a friend and eventually saved enough money to go visit her idol. Star actually just cut an X into her forehead in order to match his Swastika.

"I'll tell you straight up, Charlie and I are going to get married," Star noted. "When that will be, we don't know. But I take it very seriously. Charlie is my husband. Charlie told me to tell you this. We haven't told anybody about it."

The couple has yet to consummate the relationship due to the prison's rules that those inmates with life sentences cannot have conjugal visits. But Manson offers another explanation for why the couple may not be truly considered married.

"Oh that," he told Rolling Stone. "That's a bunch of garbage. You know that, man. That's trash. We're just playing that for public consumption."

"People can think I'm crazy," Star argued. "But they don't know. This is what's right for me. This is what I was born for."

Manson will spend the rest of his life behind bars, and it remains to be seen whether he will exchange vows with Star during his time in jail.
