Chris Brown, Rihanna Reuniting on Stage for Australian Performance?

Chris Brown, 22, and Rihanna, 24, have ignited rumors about performing together in Australia on Saturday for the first time since a domestic violence incident broke the former couple apart three years ago.

The speculation about the pair performing at the Supafest hip-hop festival in Brisbane on April 14 stemmed from both entertainers appearing in the country at the same time. Rihanna was photographed and interviewed in Sydney while promoting her upcoming big-screen film debut, "Battleships."

Brown, who recently recorded "Turn Up the Music" and "Birthday Cake" with the Barbadian singer, arrived in the country to perform at the festival despite the backlash felt by producers who booked him. John Denison, the Supafest co-producer, explained his reasoning for booking Brown for the festival in a Courier Mail report.

"At the moment, he's having No.1 records around the world, people are feeling it's appropriate because he's in demand," Denison said. "I'm happy to take the lead if television and radio are shutting him down, but you have to take the fact that everyone has accepted it."

Fans of Brown and Rihanna took to Twitter to show support for the possible reunion on stage.

"Rihanna and Chris Brown should perform together," one fan wrote.

Another had a specific song request for the pair.

"I hope Rihanna brings Chris Brown out to perform birthday cake," another person tweeted.

However, Rihanna decided to leave the country on the same day Brown arrived with current girlfriend Karrueche Tran, 23, in tow Wednesday.

"Bye Australia," Rihanna tweeted after her departure.

Brown announced his arrival by simply tweeting, "Australia."

Although the pair put an end to the rumors about performing together on stage once again, singer Kelly Rowland expressed her excitement about sharing a stage with Brown at Australia's "largest urban festival."

"It's gonna be incredible," Rowland said in an MTV report, after listing Brown as one of the performers that she would join in the festival.
