Chris Brown Speaks About Run-In With Jay-Z

For months there have been rumors concerning music mogul Jay-Z's ill feelings toward protegee Rihanna reuniting with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown who once assaulted her. Brown recently cleared the air about a recent run-in with Jay-Z amid speculation about dissension brewing between the two.

Brown appeared on Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood radio show recently where he spoke about a run-in with Jay-Z at a Barclay Center concert last month in Brooklyn, N.Y. Despite the public speculation concerning their relationship, Brown insisted that the two men kept things cordial.

"With other artists, 30 things will come up and one will stick. With me, everything sticks," Brown says. "It was like a green room backstage, he comes says what's up to everybody. And it was cordial 'what's up man how you doing?', 'nice seeing you I ain't seen you in a minute'. It was real respectful."

Brown attended the Jay-Z concert with Rihanna last month, resulting in images surfacing of his arm draped around her in the Barclay Center's V.I.P section. Despite the domestic abuse incident that took place between the pair in 2009, the singer told the California radio show hosts that he was rebuilding his friendship with the 24-year-old pop star.

"It's just me being honest with myself. Me and [Rihanna] have history," Brown admitted. "Me and her will always be the best of friends and we are working on our friendship now as far as everything goes."

The singer explained his need to open up about his personal life in most recent months, saying that he feels his experiences could possibly help others.

"It's just me being honest with myself. Me and [Rihanna] have history. Me and her will always be the best of friends and we are working on our friendship now as far as everything goes," Brown told the radio show. "I know God does not give us too much to handle, that we can't handle. […] when I feel a certain urge – whether its music or an emotion, I feel it's good to share it with people because it's an experience. It's a life lesson and there's probably thousands of young teenagers who are going through this."
