CM Punk, AJ Lee Marry Over the Weekend, Still Deciding Whether to Return to WWE

WWE Superstar CM Punk and Diva AJ Lee were reportedly married over the weekend in a small, private ceremony. The wrestling duo have taken time away from the ring in order to exchange their own wedding rings, and it's unclear if and when they will return.

Lee previously told fans that she would not be returning to the WWE until after her wedding to Punk, which means that she could return at any time. However, it's likely that she will want to remain with her new husband for some alone time and simply enjoy being married. Lee is the retiring Diva's champion, holding the title for quite some time before losing it to a newcomer and leaving the show.

Punk, on the other hand, was reportedly upset with his contract with the organization and walked away at the height of his career. Fans were very upset, and still are, that Punk is gone and may not return. He has until September to decide whether he wants to return and can negotiate a better contract, or whether he will more on a join a different wrestling organization.

Fans continually chant "CM Punk" at live events, clearly wanting the Superstar to return sooner rather than later, but rumors have it that Punk is perfectly content being paid for not working. WWE contracts allow for payment while a wrestler is out of the ring and does not appear anywhere else. Punk was tired of losing and unhappy with the organization as a whole, so he simply walked out.

It is entirely likely that Lee will return and seek to regain her title or perhaps pair up with another WWE Diva as a tag-team. She recently provided her character's voice on the movie "Scooby Doo! WrestleMania Mystery" which was released just ahead of WrestleMania, the WWE's biggest annual event.

The couple has remained relatively quiet about the relationship and seemingly intend to, not publicizing anything about their nuptials and asking for privacy.
