Coldplay and Rihanna to Shine at Grammy Awards, Whitney Houston Tributes Expected

Coldplay and Rihanna are set to take the Grammy Awards by storm this evening in what will be one of the most watched Grammys in recent years, following the death of pop icon Whitney Houston.

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will no doubt contain a consistent theme of running a tribute to Houston, however, fans will also be in for a music-fest with some of the biggest names in the industry coming together to perform on the night.

One of the most successful bands of the past decade, Coldplay, are set to perform, as is pop sensation Rihanna.

Fans will also eagerly be anticipating a first performance by British singer Adele since her throat surgery in November last year. Adele has admitted that she is nervous ahead of her performance as she knows everyone will be looking at how she performs on her comeback. However, the night is already being touted as being a success for the young singer, who is being touted to take home a number of Grammys following a hugely successful year.

Some of the other big names taking the stage tonight will be Sir Paul McCartney, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Tony Bennett and many more.

LL Cool J will host the awards ceremony from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with many expecting Jennifer Hudson to lead the tributes to Whitney Houston.
