DeVon Franklin Talks Battle With 'Temper Demon'
DeVon Franklin, Hollywood executive and preacher, recently revealed that before he fell in love with Christian actress and wife Meagan Good, he may have been battling a temper demon.
Growing up, Franklin said that he had a temper that left some so concerned that they wondered if a spiritual force was to blame.
"I started becoming angry. This DeVon standing before you today was not the DeVon growing up. Let me tell you, I had a temper," Franklin said while preaching at One Church International in Los Angeles, according to EEW Magazine reports. "I mean, so much so, they would literally try to lay hands on me to get that temper demon out of my body, because that's how bad it was."

Franklin grew up as the middle child of three boys and battled with feeling of an awkward physical appearance and recalled asking the Lord for help amid identity struggles.
"One of the issues I grew up with as a child was this issue of trying to understand where I fit and who I was, because I didn't know who I was supposed to be, because everyone else seemed to know exactly where they were supposed to fit, but me, I was like, 'Lord, where am I supposed to be,'" Franklin recalled while speaking at the Los Angeles, Calif. church. "
These days, it seems Franklin's prayer was answered after marrying his 32-year-old Christian actress wife, Good. In the February issue of EBONY, Franklin wrote his new wife a love letter where he talks about God connecting the pair.
"I'm amazed at how incredible God really is. How incredible that He chose me with the blessing of loving you," Franklin wrote to his wife. "You are my true love. I can absolutely say I started living when you came into my life. Each day, I'm so grateful that I can love you and be loved by you."
The preacher went on to thank his wife with whom he exchanged nuptials in June 2012.
"Thank you for breaking me out of the box and showing me what real life and love is all about. You helped me become whole as a man because you've helped me love," Franklin wrote. "God has used you to heal me and I will forever be grateful."
