'Duck Dynasty' Star Phil Robertson Delivers Controversial Easter Sermon, Answers Who is Going to Heaven (VIDEO)
"Duck Dynasty" patriarch Phil Robertson has had his share of controversy, with an interview in "GQ" magazine in which he compared homosexuality to bestiality. Robertson soon issued a statement saying he would "never treat anyone with disrespect" because they were different, but now video has surfaced of him giving an Easter sermon in which he addresses the "GQ" scandal and quotes a famous verse from the book of Corinthians.
"What's Jesus coming back for?" Robertson asked the congregation of Whites Ferry Road Church in Louisiana on Easter Sunday. "To bring salvation to those who are waiting for it. Are you waiting on Jesus? Or are you afraid to see that sky busting, you see Him coming? You got two lists. I gave some guy one list. You say, were they mad at you about that list? They were mad at me," he confirmed.
Indeed, Robertson was actually suspended from the hit series "Duck Dynasty" on A&E until a few weeks later, when the station agreed to lift the suspension and allow the series to continue with Robertson. The "Duck Dynasty" family members rallied and had said that they would not continue on the series without the patriarch, and numerous fans came to the support of the Robertson family, calling on A&E to allow Robertson the freedom of speech as is his right.

"You say, why'd they get mad at you?" Robertson continued. "'Cause instead of acknowledging their sin, like you had better do, they railed against me for giving them the truth about their sins. Don't deceive yourselves," he warned.
"You want the verse? The news media didn't even know it was a verse!" he said about his comments to "GQ." "They thought I was just mouthing off. Is homosexual behavior a sin? The guy asked me. I said, do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Don't be deceived."
Robertson then paraphrased a passage from 1 Corinthians chapter 6, verses 9-10.
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God," says the New International Version of the verses.
A video of the entire sermon has been released on YouTube, and the new season of "Duck Dynasty," which will likely deal with the entire controversy, will air on June 11 on A&E.
