Duggar Family Confronts Loss on New Season of '19 Kids and Counting'

The new season of "19 Kids and Counting," which features the Duggar family, will include footage of the family dealing with the loss of baby Jubilee Shalom.

Camera crews were in the room when Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar learned that Michelle, who was five months pregnant, had lost the baby. Doctors were unable to hear a heartbeat during the routine examination and told the Duggars to let nature take its course.

Michelle Duggar told People magazine, "I feel like my heart broke telling my children. They have all been so excited about this baby and looking forward to April coming around and having a new little one in our arms. That was the most difficult. The Lord is the giver of life, and He can choose when that life is ready to go on and be with Him."

The family held a memorial service for daughter Jubilee Shalom in December, which caused some controversy. Photos of the tiny baby's fingers and feet were shown during the memorial and then leaked to the press, causing great sensation, with many stating that the family was using the photos for attention.

The Learning Channel will air the show's sixth season premiere tomorrow night. "The Duggars are back! Watch as the family adds new life, planting trees, visits a corn maze and hits the speaking circuit. Later, an emotional moment occurs when Michelle and Jim Bob go in for a routine pregnancy check-up," reads the TLC website.

Fans of the show have followed the large family of 21 since 2006, when their show debuted on TLC. Since then, the Duggars have written three books based on their experiences raising a supersized family. A Love That Multiplies is the latest, and was released last year.

"19 Kids and Counting" premieres tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. on TLC.
