DWTS: Which Couples Made It To Finals?

Tuesday’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars” has sent Hope Solo and Maks Chmerkovskiy home leaving just three couples in the competition for the mirror ball trophy.

The finalists include high-scoring Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough who are widely believed to have what it takes to win the championship title. During the performance show Monday, the dancing duo became the second couple to have earned a perfect score during season 13, receiving 30 points for their samba.

“I can taste the finals,” said Lake, proud of her score.

Following her individual performances of the tango and cha-cha, Lake earned the top score of 67 points for the night.

Also returning to the ballroom next week for the finals is J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff. Finishing third out of the four couples Monday night, the actor said he was “disappointed” in his weakest performance yet.

Martinez explained an injury he sustained during rehearsal, saying: “Obviously, I injured my ankle. We worked so hard all week and then on Friday I twisted my ankle and the routines weren’t delivered the way that we would have liked.”

He added, “When I spun her around on the floor there was another lift, it was a really powerful move but the way it puts pressure on my leg, it didn’t feel right.”

Reality television star Rob Kardashian and his partner Cheryl Burke gave a lively performance of the samba Monday and will return to the competition next week for the finals.

“It’s my time to peak,” said Kardashian Monday ahead of his performance, which earned him the second highest score of the night.

Judge Bruno said the 24-year-old finalist had “started out as a goofy outsider. Now you look like a leading man – slick, dark, handsome, in control.”

“DWTS” airs Monday on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
