Eli Manning Leads Giants to Win Over Rams
Eli Manning lead his team with two touchdowns on Monday, creating a 28-16 New York Giants win against the St. Louis Rams.
Coming off a win against the Washington Redskins last week, Giants’ linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka said he was relieved to see the team come back strong in week 2.
"We definitely needed a win," Kiwanuka said, according to USA Today reports. "This was a good way to get our season back on track."

The Rams helped the Giants take over the game by allowing two turnovers that turned into touchdowns during the first half of the game. Micheal Boley, Giants’ linebacker, said the turnovers were vital for his team on Monday night.
"It's kind of disheartening for any team to drive it down there and come away with three points," Boley said. "That was a big momentum shift for us."
The Rams’ QB Sam Bradford made an unsuccessful backward pass to Cadillac Williams with close to 11 minutes left in the first half, giving Boley an opportunity to retrieve it and give the Giants a 14-6 lead.
Bradford attempted to explain his line of thinking when he made the pass.
"It was a designed screen to Cadillac. I think they were bringing zero pressure, they were bringing someone off that edge, and I hurried and tried to get it around the guy and in doing that I threw it backwards," Bradford said, according to Los Angeles Times Reports. "I just can't do that. In hindsight I probably should have called a timeout and gotten out of that play."
Although the Giants managed to win in their second week against the Rams, wide receivers Mario Manningham and Domenik Hixon were injured in the process. However, Manning said his team will adjust to the injuries and look forward to playing Philadelphia on Sunday.
"Tonight (we) lost a few guys, but hopefully they'll come back soon. But if not we'll just get some guys ready, make sure people know what they're doing," said Manning, whose team will play at Philadelphia Sunday. "We just got to go out there and execute better."
