The advertisement shows a young girl holding the Galaxy Nexus to her face to unlock her phone. It also shows two people on bikes beaming information to each other by touching the phones together. Meanwhile, a bike rider uses navigation while peddling on a street.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus went on sale at retail stores in the United Kingdom on Nov. 17; however, those who pre-ordered their handsets online may not receive them for several days.

The handset is the first to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software, Google's newest major upgrade to its Android operating system. The handset and the OS debuted together at a Google-Samsung event in October.

The Galaxy Nexus, with its curved and bottomless exterior, was praised for its attractive exterior. Technology website CNet called the design "sharp" and the 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen "gorgeous"

The large vivid display is supposed to make viewing videos and playing games easier and more pleasant. Galaxy Nexus also features a dual-core 1.2GHz CPU processor that reportedly makes the handset speedier. It works with HSPA+ that allows high speed web browsing, according to Samsung.

Another exciting feature is the 5 megapixel low light optimized camera that records video at 1080-pixel, and it introduces a new time-lapse video mode. Besides the camera in the back, the Galaxy Nexus also features a front facing 1.3-megapixel camera with video chatting.
