Galaxy Note 2 Price Set for $69.99 for New Sprint Customers

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is now available for $69.99 for customers looking to sign a new 2-year contract with Sprint.

The deal is can be accessed through Amazon Wireless. This is $230 less than the carrier's normal price and this is specifically for people who are not Sprint customers. Existing Sprint customers will have to pay $199.99 for the Galaxy Note 2 on Amazon.com. This is still $100 cheaper than if it was purchased directly through Sprint.

The Galaxy Note 2 is currently Sprint's most popular smartphone with its customers. The device received a score of 4.7 out 5.0 in a recent customer survey. The phablet is also at the top of Verizon's list for "most appreciated."

Surprisingly, the iPhone 5 did not make the top 5 smartphones for Sprint among customers. The list also included the Galaxy S3, iPhone 4S, and HTC Evo 4G LTE.

The Galaxy Note 2 will launch in pink sometime this month.

The phablet will launch in that color in Taiwan and is targeted at the ladies. The pink version of the Galaxy Note 2 unlocked will cost around $740 and will launch before the end of this month.

The Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update, which brings the multi-window feature to the phablet, is now available in Canada, according to an announcement made by Samsung.

The electronics giant took to its Canada Facebook page to announce the availability of the upgrade in the nation.

"Big Game Special Announcement: Galaxy Note II owners with national carriers will begin receiving the Multi Window and Chinese language support update (Android 4.1.2) on Wednesday. Thanks for your patience Samsung Nation," wrote the company.

The Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update brings many new features to the Galaxy Note 2, such as new additions in notification toggles, the ability to customize the notification panel, smoother browser, new ink effect on lockscreen, and a new group cast application.
