Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood are beloved by country music fans both individually and for their previous collaborations, and now the couple may be releasing a Christmas duets album.

In the past, Brooks and Yearwood have joined forces on songs such as "The Call," "In Another's Eyes," and "After the Fire is Gone," and yet the power couple have never released an album together. However, Brooks recently acknowledged the long-delayed project and revealed a possible Christmas duets album while speaking at a press conference at TD Garden.

"We are trying to get it out this year," the 52-year-old Grammy Award-winner revealed, according to Country Standard Time. "We'll test the waters. It'll be a duets album, but it will not be like what you've seen before. She's got a lot of strong ideas."

For her part, Yearwood said that the Christmas album is a priority for herself and her husband now that the pair are on the same label, Sony Music Nashville.

"We wanted to be on the same label because we thought it would be easier and more fun because we want to do duet records," she said during a press conference, according to Music Universe. "We wanted to be able to do whatever we wanted and we've never been on the same record label, so it was kind of born out of looking to find a home that wanted to work with both of us."

Adding to the excitement of the collaboration, Brooks and Yearwood's Christmas duets album would be a precursor to a non-holiday album. Each country music icons in their own right, the singers' marriage has been likened to fellow industry power couples, including Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, as well as John and June Carter.

Meanwhile, Brooks and his wife are outspoken Christians, and the singer made waves with the latest single "Mom" off of his new album "Man Against Machine." The touching song describes a conversation between God and an unborn baby. Listen to the song here.
