GOD TV to Air 'Christmas' Music Event Special

GOD TV will play host to a slew of holiday-themed content that will be capped off by the "Christmas with GOD TV" music event.

On Dec. 24 and 25, the GOD Channel will air several Christmas films and special editions of the channel’s signature shows. The final showing of holiday content will conclude with the musical showcase.

GOD TV will air footage of its Christmas event, which was pre-recorded in Cape Town, South Africa. Some of South Africa’s finest musicians will be shown during their on-stage performances. The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, joined by these artists, will be performing jazz renditions of “Silent Night,” “Jingle Bells” and “Oh Holy Night.”

This special event will air on the GOD Channel at 9 p.m. EST Christmas Eve and at 2 p.m. Christmas Day.

"Our Christmas concert in Cape Town blessed all who attended and will touch even more lives when it is broadcast globally on the GOD Channel," said Rory Alec, one of the founding fathers of GOD TV, about the concert.

Adding, "This is the first time we've done a Christmas production on a large scale and judging from the response from the audience, viewers are going to love it!"

The movies that will be shown for the holidays are "The Perfect Gift" and "A Christmas Snow." The first film aims to remind viewers of the true meaning of Christmas.

The second film follows the story of a woman who finds genuine happiness after being snowed in with two other people. They proceed to help her rediscover the reason for celebrating Christmas.

"Christmas is a time for families to come together and an ideal opportunity for our viewers to share the love of Christ with family and friends as they watch the GOD Channel," said Wendy Alec, GOD TV co-founder and Director of Television.

She stated, "We also have some great New Year's programming, with music concerts especially for young adults, and challenging our viewers to fulfill all God has for their lives in 2012."

Chuck Missler, founder of the Koinonia House ministry, will also be featured on the airing of "The Christmas Story." The show presents an interesting insight into the Nativity scene.

Also, a special holiday edition of "Behind the Screens" will focus on some of GOD TV’s most memorable program highlights of the year.

"A Skaggs Family Christmas" will premier on Christmas Day at 9 p.m. EST. This TV event will showcase a festive celebration with country music renditions of popular Christmas songs.

The GOD Channel can be viewed across the U.S. on channel 365 of DIRECTV. The channel is also available for viewing via the Internet at www.god.tv, which lets viewers access an extensive archive of programming for video on demand viewing.

GOD TV makes sure to give to others, which is done though the channel's philanthropic efforts. It aids people around the world by supporting feeding schemes, orphanages, water drilling projects and disaster relief funds.
