Gosling Surprises Kids at School for the Deaf
Actor Ryan Gosling made the dreams of some students come true when he dropped by the Texas School for the Deaf. It was a complete surprise to everyone, including the administration, who knew he was in the area.
"We knew that Ryan was in town, and he's been on streets around campus often, so we were just pipe dreaming (and look what happened!)" Anne Adams, the school's Foundation's executive director, told The Washington Post.
"The film crew has been parking some of their trucks on our campus during filming because we have a 67-acre campus right in the center of the city and it's often used for such purposes," Adams added.

The School for the Deaf held its annual fundraiser on Saturday, which is when Gosling made his appearance. Even though he didn't run in the Spooky Skedaddle 5K, he did meet students and helped raise around $20,000 for the Foundation.
"Ryan helped us out by paying $50 for a $1 glow in the dark cotton candy from a booth staffed by deaf children. It was very sweet," Adams noted. His presence certainly caused a stir both on-campus and in the community.

Gosling is in the area filming a new movie for Terrence Malik, along with his co-stars Rooney Mara and Michael Fassbender.
"Ryan was extremely kind, allowing lots of photo ops with fans and when the director told him, 'Enough,' he said, 'No, one more,' and pulled a small deaf child out of the line for a picture," Adams told E! News. "Ryan is a wonderful person and we were delighted that they came!"
Gosling's latest movies include "Gangster Squad" and "Only God Forgives," both of which are due out next year. The Terrence Malik project is still unnamed but is also expected next year.
