Hillsong United is celebrating a major feat on Friday after their number-one single "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" reached RIAA platinum status.

The worship band is rising to higher heights with the latest hit, which is off their fastest-selling album, "ZION." Hillsong was in ten of Billboard's End of Year charts, topping five of the charts including Top Christian Artists, Hot Christian Songs, Hot Christian Songs Artists, Christian Airplay Artists and Christian Digital Songs. The group also earned five GMA Dove Awards, including the coveted Artist of the Year and Song of the Year Award this year. Consequently, Hillsong United was recognized for reaching RIAA's highest status on Friday.

Wrapping up a year of awards and recognition, Hillsong United is looking ahead to 2015 when their new full-length studio album is released. Moreover, the group stars in a film by Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment set for nationwide release in April: "Let Hope Rise – the Hillsong Movie."

"The last couple of years have been an expectation-busting-jaggernaut of pure grace and madness," said Hillsong Creative Director and Worship Leader Joel Houston. "It's been beyond what any of us could have thought, and we've chosen to not take a moment of it for granted. The last 12 months have been spent throwing ourselves into this next project and season like it's all we've got, and we're simply trusting that the same mysterious breath that got us this far will take us deeper all over again."

"Hillsong – Let Hope Rise" will chronicle Hillsong's remarkable journey from a youth group band at Hillsong Church to a worldwide sensation that plays sold-out stadium concerts across the globe. Michael John Warren, who helmed Jay-Z's "Face to Black," is directing the Australia-based band, while Matthew Weaver of MediaWeaver Entertainment and Jonathan Bock of Grace Hill Media are producing. The film is expected to release worldwide on April 3, 2015.

The band is comprised of 11 members who are each volunteers or employees of Hillsong Church, including the church founders, Brian and Bobbie Houston. It is estimated that over 30 million churchgoers around the world sing Hillsong worship songs on any given Sunday. In a joint statement earlier this year, Alcon Entertainment principals Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson voiced their excitement over "Hillsong – Let Hope Rise."

"In terms of reach, Hillsong United is one of the biggest bands out there, Christian or otherwise," they said. "But at their core, they're just a group of unassuming individuals impacting the world with their music. We're thrilled to be part of bringing their extraordinary story to the big screen."
