HTC One Blue Version Launches Along with BoomBass Accessory

The HTC Vivid Blue variant was unveiled earlier this week and will be available in select markets starting Q4 2013.

The company also launched its new BoomBass accessory which is a Bluetooth-enabled subwoofer with a dedicated amplifier that will provide users with clearer and more powerful bass. It pairs with the BoomSound capabilities found on many of HTC's other handsets.

Pricing for BoomBass was not announced, however, it will be made available for purchase starting in mid-October.

The blue model is rumored to be launching on both Sprint and Verizon in the U.S.

HTC should be unveiling its new One Max Galaxy Note competitor sometime in the near future. The photos were released by the Taiwanese site ePrice.

This same part believed to be a sensor was spotted on earlier leaked pictures of the device. One of the new images specifically show the handset with the back cover removed so viewers can get a better look at the fingerprint sensor on the device.

The component was shown in previous pictures as a small black square underneath the camera. It could have easily been a sticker or something else placed there to confuse viewers. However, this set of leaks shows that the first assumptions were correct for thinking this was a fingerprint reader.

The HTC One Max release date could be set for Q4 of 2013.

The company's Chief Marketing Officer Ben Ho confirmed yesterday that HTC is working on a variant of the One without mentioning that is was the Max model. He also stated that HTC will focus on fewer products this year in order to correct the confusion they caused in 2012.
