Ice Cream Sandwich Arrives on Galaxy Note With Premium Suite

Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich is finally available on the Samsung Galaxy Note, and comes with Premium Suite that gives users access to a number of new apps and features.

"The Premium Suite upgrade includes S Note, a new application that enhances productivity and professionalizes communications; a widget that enables one touch access to all S Memo features; and My Story, an application which uses S Pen to create customized greeting cards and notes," read AT&T's press release announcing the update.

S Note extends the S Pen's capabilities and makes performing everyday tasks with the accessory more simple and professional looking.

Other new productivity features brought to the Galaxy Note by ICS and Premium Suite include Shape Match, which refines hand-drawn shapes such as circle, square, lines and arrows; Formula Match, which recognizes and completes complex math formulas; and Knowledge Search, which enables the user to quickly research information from a hand-written note by using Wolfram Alpha database.

S Note also now will allow Galaxy Note owners to import and annotate a PDF file and convert dictated or hand-written memos to text with the Continual Voice Input and Handwriting-to-Text features.

S Memo has also received an upgrade that will let users have one touch access to all of its features that includes typing, writing, voice dictation, search and adding an image. The new widget that allows this can be placed on any of the multiple home screens featured on the device.

My Story, a new app for the Note now available in Google Play, utilizes the S Pen allowing owners to create personalized digital birthday cards, thank you notes and sympathy notes by combining hand written notes, video content, photos, text and voice.
