“We’ve heard from many customers who love their T-Mobile service, but are disappointed that we don’t carry the iPhone,” he wrote. “To these customers, first thank you for your business. Please know that we think the iPhone is a great device and Apple knows that we’d like to add it to our line-up.”

According to Brodman, T-Mobile hopes to acquire the iPhone so it can offer the device to its customers compromise free.

Brodman also points out other high-end smartphones in the letter that are new to T-Mobile’s line-up including the Galaxy S2 which is currently faster and more powerful than the iPhone 4.

He addresses the fact that Android is outpacing iPhone in “consumer adoption, market share and capabilities like support for faster 4G networks.”

Despite Android’s dominance, Brodman still hopes Apple will make “the call” to confirm the iPhone joining the T-Mobile smartphone line-up.

iPhone 5 coming to team mobile seems like a move that Apple has to initiate.

The carrier’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom, already began taking pre-orders for a smartphone that could possibly be the iPhone 5.

Sprint is also rumored to be receiving the next generation iPhone.

The company has admitted that its network is ready for the Apple device.

Perhaps some light will be shed at Apple's media event on October 4.
