The Islamic State terrorist group has allegedly beheaded and crucified a man who was helping innocent people escape from the brutality and heinousness of the group's controlled areas in Syria.

The man's beheading and crucifiction was first reported by Heavy.com (graphic images) last weekend when IS supporters posted a series of photos to social media showing the man's mutilated body being strung on a wooden structure in an IS-controlled area of Aleppo.

The first photo shows a militant delivering the already beheaded body to the public square in what appears to be a minivan. The next photos show a crowd of onlookers gathered to see the beheaded man, who had his arms tied to the wooden structure, crucifixion style.

As the crowd looks on, a large note written in Arabic is posted to the corpse's torso most likely explaining what crime the man had committed in order for onlookers to become fearful so they do not dare cross the authority of IS.

A third picture shows an wide shot of a large group of young boys and adolescent teen males who also witnessed the man's lifeless and headless body hanging from the support structure.

Although it wasn't immediately clear what the man's crime against the caliphate was, the Daily Mail reported on Wednesday that an IS supporter on Twitter claimed that the man was punished for "stealing Muslims."

The term stealing Muslims likely implies that the man was helping a person or people escape from the militant organization. Although that claim has not been verified, the group has executed people in the past who have been caught smuggling people out of IS-controlled areas.

As many villages on the outskirts of Aleppo have been recently seized by the terror group, it is likely that even more residents are trying to escape. MailOnline reports that smuggling networks in Iraq and Syria charge anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000 to help people escape from the chaos in the region.

One anonymous smuggler who claims to have rescued over 400 Yazidi sex slaves from IS-controlled areas in Iraq, told the Daily Mail that many members of his team have been captured by militants and killed.

A woman who organizes escapes for Yazidi sex slaves told the Daily Mail that their desperation is so great to escape from the tortuous lives under IS that if they can't escape, they kill themselves.

The news of the alleged smuggler's execution in Aleppo comes after IS militants beheaded and crucified 11 Christian missionaries and a 12-year-old boy in villages on the outskirts of Aleppo in August.

The 12 Christian victims were all originally captured on Aug 7. and the on Aug. 28, they were split up into two different groups and taken to different villages for questioning.

In one village, the militants questioned the team leader, his 12-year-old son and two other missionaries on whether or not they were Muslims before they converted to Christianity. When they answered that they were once Muslims and then refused to convert back to Islam, they were beheaded and crucified. The 12-year-old boy was tortured, had his fingers cut off in front of his father in hopes that it would get the ministry leader to renounce Christ.

The other eight Christian missionaries suffered similar fates in another village on the outskirts of Aleppo.
