Justin Bieber Talks God's Forgiveness in Christian Rapper's Video

Justin Bieber is rallying behind a Maryland-based Christian rapper who hopes to inspire one million pledges for God on social media with his music video.

Brandon Burke, who seems to be one of Bieber's spiritual mentors, recently released the video called "The Pledge" where he delivers a rapping sermon while Bieber talks about God's forgiveness and grace toward the end of the video.

"God loved the world so much He gave up his own son, right? " Bieber says in the clip. "Imagine someone killing your son, like a bunch of people killing your son. These are your people, right? It's like, 'how are you killing my son? That's my son.' It's gonna be hard for you to forgive but God forgave everyone and they killed His son. That shows how much grace God has."

According to Burke's website, "The Pledge" is his first single released from his first album, titled Long Live the King. He raps about his allegiance to God, America's foundation as a Christian nation, and being an ambassador for the Kingdom of God which he hopes will prompt viewers to start a movement through the #iPledge hashtag.

In addition to appearing in the video, Bieber shared his support for Burke via Twitter Thursday where he tweeted the artist's website. The tweet garnered nearly 30,000 retweets from his over 50 million followers.

Although Bieber has made recent headlines because of his controversial behavior, he has also shown interest in growing his Christian faith by attending church services in New York City and Seattle at Hillsong NYC and The City Church, pastored by Carl Lentz and Judah Smith, respectively.

Just last Sunday, Bieber posted a photo on Twitter of himself alongside Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Smith and his children after church service.

Bieber's tweet was posted days after his on-and-off again girlfriend Selena Gomez took to her Instagram account to post a photo of Smith alongside his wife and children with the caption, "Love my pastor and his family so much! Don't know what I would do without them. @judahsmith Jesus Is tour!"
