Earlier in the day Bieber joined Chance the Rapper on stage to perform their hit single "Confident" and reports suggest Gomez was watching backstage.

"That was fun," Bieber tweeted after the performance followed by "Thanks coachella for showing so much love. Good times."

The on-and-off couple have been inseparable in recent months, fueling speculation that they are back together and while fans are thrilled insiders claim Gomez's loved ones are not. Taylor Swift, who is Gomez's best friend, is said to be particularly concerned about their reunion.

"Taylor hates him. She thinks Selena makes a mistake every time she reconciles with him," a source told Us magazine. "Bieber has really come between the girls."

The "Come & Get It" singer had a difficult year in 2013 following her public split from Bieber which led to her stint in rehab earlier this year. The pair split in May 2013 after three years of dating, but they reunited in early January, just days before Gomez checked into rehab.

The former Disney star spent two weeks at Dawn at the Meadows after abruptly canceling her Australian tour in December. She reportedly failed to complete the full 6-week program.

"Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse," her reps said in a statement obtained by RadarOnline.com.

In March Gomez reportedly fired her parents as her managers after reports claimed they too were opposed to her reconciliation with Bieber.

Gomez's mother Mandy and stepfather Brian Teefey reportedly began managing her career during her early Disney days and they were ultimately blindsided by her decision to cut ties professionally. Last week they reportedly sat down with the actress to discuss her decision and she confirmed that she wants to go in a new direction, according to TMZ.com.
