K-Love Station Coming to Philadelphia as Christ Spreads on the Air Waves
Popular Christian syndicated radio station K-LOVE is coming to Philadelphia to spread the gospel on 106.9 after a purchase from Merlin Media.
K-LOVE reaches over 14 million listeners weekly, as they have establishments in major cities such as New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Denver and others, as well as 446 signals in 47 states.
"All of us at K-LOVE are excited to have worked out a deal with Merlin Media for the purchase of WWIQ, 106.9 FM," said K-LOVE's President and CEO Mike Novak. "To be able to share the Gospel and work hand-in-hand with listeners in the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas is such a blessing. We can't wait."
"K-LOVE plays positive, encouraging contemporary Christian music with a message designed to draw people toward an authentic relationship with God while living out real life in the real world," a press release states of their mission statement.
Recently the K-LOVE awards event celebrated the year's best Christian music in a weekend event.
Performers for the event included: TobyMac, Amy Grant and Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Third Day, Matthew West, Casting Crowns, Natalie Grant with Kari Jobe, Audio Adrenaline, Newsboys, Matt Maher with Brandon Heath and Bart Millard of MercyMe, Francesca Battistelli, and more.
