Kandi Burruss Reveals Issues With Nene Leakes

Kandi Burruss, the singer-songwriter and cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is revealing the origin of her issues with co-star Nene Leakes.

"To me I feel like she contradicts herself. Like she's constantly dogging me out, saying negative things about me," Burruss revealed on New York City radio show "The Breakfast Club" recently. "But then when she does, she says 'Well that's just my opinion.' But if I say anything to her or about her it, 'Oh people are jealous of her.'"

Burruss, 36, insisted that her demeanor toward Leakes, 45, is simply a reaction to the latter's own behavior.

"You know, act like a victim. You know I give you what you give me," Burruss said on "The Breakfast Club." "Like if you give me that energy, that's what you're going to get."

Burruss, a singer-songwriter and entrepreneur, also spoke about Leakes failing to congratulate her for her accomplishments.

"I've done a million things [business wise], she's never once said 'Congratulations.' Or came in support of anything that I've done. Nothing," Burruss said on the radio show. "You know I hate when people say, 'Oh you hating on her!' How am I hating on her? I always say I love what she's doing as far as taking her opportunity of being on TV and turning it into something greater."

This is not the first time that Leakes and Burruss have publicly discussed their issues. The pair recently taped "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 5 reunion show, where the pair's friendship was brought into question by host Andy Cohen.

While both women admitted that they have taken verbal jabs at one another, Leakes insisted that she has never taken playful insults too far when speaking about Burruss.

"I feel like if you can dish it out, just be able to take it," Leakes said on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion show. "And you know, as long as I'm not trying to cut you to the white meat and you know, hit you below the belt, then we cool."

However, Burruss decided to call Leakes out for the comments that the latter made concerning the singer-songwriter's former fiancé Ashley Jewell, who died after an altercation outside of an Atlanta strip club in 2009.

"I think that you have done that before … One time when you were on the radio in the past, you said something about my relationship with A.J. and it was about whatever. And I felt like 'Whoa, okay.' That was not cool for you to say," Burruss told Leakes on the show. "So that's when I felt like 'You know what, I don't mess with her like that.' And that's when you got a different me."
