Kanye West Frustrated With 'Beyonce' Success; Believes Visual Album Was His Idea?
Kanye West is reportedly frustrated over the success of pop star Beyonce Knowles' self-titled visual album, as insiders claim the rapper is convinced he came up with the idea first.
The Grammy award-winning artist, 36, reportedly insisted on making his 2010 album "Dark Twisted Fantasy" a visual album however his team had objections. The rapper is said to be unhappy particularly because "Beyonce," which features 14 songs and 17 music videos, has garnered more success than his "Yeezus" album.
"Kanye is feeling really defeated over Beyonce's album doing so well. He wanted to do a visual album for his 'Dark Twisted Fantasies' album, but everyone around him convinced him it wouldn't work," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"That's why he ended up doing one long movie to go with it [the 35-minute short film, 'Runaway']," the insider explained.
Beyonce's fifth studio album, which was released on Dec. 13, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and sold 617,213 digital copies within three days of its release. It has reportedly sold 1.43 million copies in the U.S. alone to date, according to singersroom.com.
"He's kind of annoyed, but he doesn't want to talk about how he came up with the idea first because of how he got slammed for saying he invented leather jogging pants a few years ago," the insider revealed. "Plus, he needs to stay on good terms with Jay Z."
West is a longtime friend of Beyonce and hip hop mogul Jay Z and in a bid to keep the peace, the usually outspoken rapper refuses to make a big deal of the situation.
"He's super-focused on moving forward. He's working so hard to come up with something that will eclipse Beyonce and put him back on top," the source said. "He might do something like a huge free concert or a free album to get himself in the headlines again, and for a good reason."
