Karl Lagerfeld: Adele Is 'Too Fat'
Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel's leading designer, called singer Adele "a little too fat" in a new interview.
An interview with Metro Paris led to the comments, which may upset many of the performer's fans.
Lagerfeld told the Paris publication when it comes to music, "I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice."

"Lana del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She's not alone with implants," Lagerfeld added.
Adele has spoken publicly about her figure: "I enjoy being me; I always have done. I've seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down.
"I just don't want that in my life; it's just never been an issue- at least, I've never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue," she added.
American personalities have spoken out about Lagerfeld's comments and voiced their disagreement. "If you love Adele, then boycott Chanel- boo Karl," said American Public Relations expert Kelly Cutrone."
Adele's fans have also spoken out.
"I think she looks healthier than some uber (sic) skinny actresses ive (sic) seen," tweeted Steven Francis.
"At least Adele looks healthy. Unlike Karl Lagerfeld who looks like a sick show pony," added Elaine Mudge.
Adele is scheduled to make a triumphant return to the stage on Feb. 21 after going through surgery to "alleviate the current issues with her throat."
Adele, a British singer-songwriter, emerged on the scene in 2008. She has gained much success with the release of two albums, one of which has earned platinum status 14 times in the United Kingdom alone.
