5 things to know about Kash Patel, Trump's pick to lead FBI

2. Authored children's book series

While Patel is best known for his roles in various levels of government, he has also written a series of children's books loosely based on real events that transpired both during and after the Trump presidency. The book series was published by Beacon of Freedom Publishing House, an imprint of the publisher Brave Books, which is known for its children's books written by conservative figures.

An Amazon description of the first book in the series, The Plot Against the King, summarizes its contents as “a fantastical retelling of Hillary's horrible plot against Trump [for] the whole family,” referring to the efforts to spy on the Trump campaign leading up to the 2016 election.

Characters in the book include “keeper Komey” and his “spying slugs,” referring to the current FBI director's predecessor. A character called “Kash the Distinguished Discoverer,” modeled after the author, serves as the book's protagonist.

The second book in the series, The Plot Against the King 2000 Mules, is based on the documentary “2000 Mules” by Dinesh D'Souza which concluded that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump. The Amazon summary of the book outlines how it “tells the fantastical story of how two inquisitive minds, Dinesh and Debbie, search for the truth and uncover evidence of a scheme to elect Sleepy Joe instead of King Donald on Choosing Day.”

Like the first book, the second installment in the series was published in 2022.

The third book in the series, titled The Plot Against the King 3: The Return of the King, was released earlier this year and profiles “the silly yet important journey of the MAGA king as he returns to take down Comma-la-la- and take back the throne.” The Amazon description of the book characterizes it as “a great way to start a conversation with your kids about the election.”
