Kate Middleton Baby: Uncle Suspects Duchess Knows Gender, Expecting Girl?

Kate Middleton's uncle suspects that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may be keeping their unborn baby's sex a secret from the public.

In a recent interview with the Daily Mirror, Gary Goldsmith, revealed that he believes the Royal couple may be expecting a girl. Although St. James's palace claimed Middleton, 31, and William, 30, are yet to learn the sex of their unborn baby, Goldsmith suspects that they may already know.

"My suspicion is that they're having a baby girl. But, of course, I don't know that for fact. I believe Kate and William have kept the sex of their child a secret to everyone but themselves," Goldsmith told the Daily Mirror.

"It would be brilliant, wouldn't it, if they do have a little girl? To have one of my family, my niece, making history will be absolutely unbelievable," he added.

In June, just weeks ahead of Middleton's scheduled due date, St. James's Palace aides confirmed that the royal couple has no plans to learn their unborn baby's gender.

"[They] do not know and do not plan to find out the gender of the baby in advance," St James's Palace aides confirmed.

Goldsmith is not the only family member anxiously awaiting the birth of the Royal heir. The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, recently expressed her excitement for the upcoming birth of Middleton and William's first child.

"We don't know what's going to happen. We're all waiting at the end of a telephone," Camilla said according to The Sun U.K. "I hope by the end of the week he or she will be there."

Middleton will reportedly have a natural birth in the Lindo wing of St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington. The exclusive maternity suite reportedly costs an estimated $7,000 for a one-night stay with normal delivery, according to The Daily Mirror U.K.

While initial reports claimed Middleton was due on July 13, it has since been claimed that her due date is actually July 23. Carole, Middleton's mother, reportedly told friends that Middleton is not due to give birth for at least one week, according to The Telegraph.
