Katherine Jackson 'Safe With Family,' Authorities Say: Paris Alleging Foul Play?

Authorities still want to meet in person with the matriarch

Katherine Jackson, matriarch of the famous Jackson clan, is safe and sound with her family after granddaughter Paris Jackson tweeted that she was missing. Investigators still want to speak in person with Katherine to make sure everything is okay after fighting within the Jackson family reached a new boiling point.

"I haven't spoken with her in a week I want her home now," Paris tweeted on Sunday. She was afraid that something had happened to her grandmother after a family feud over Michael's estate erupted. Some of Katherine's children wrote letters to the executors of Michael's estate, alleging his will- which left money to Katherine, the children and various charities- was fake.

Janet, Randy, Tito, Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson all signed letters stating that Katherine's health had been impaired by a mini-stroke and had left her vulnerable to manipulation. The letters have caused a major rift between Paris and her relatives, as Michael's only daughter defends her father's will and her grandmother.

"I will defend my beloved family member with all I have, even if means from other family members," Paris tweeted. She briefly engaged in an online spat with uncle Randy Jackson, but later apologized for her actions.

"This is our mother, and her health is paramount," Jermaine Jackson tweeted. "We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctor's advice. Period."

That was not enough explanation for Paris, though, who responded with a tweet of her own.

"The same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother… just saying," she wrote. Dr. Conrad Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson and found guilty. He is currently serving time in prison.

Paris has been working to establish her own identity in the wake of her father's death. She has given public interviews to Oprah Winfrey, among others, in which she described her life now and her desire to have an acting career, much to the dismay of her aunt, Janet Jackson.

Katherine Jackson was granted custody of Michael's three children, Paris, Prince Michael II and "Blanket" after MJ's death in 2009. She has been the matriarch of the Jackson family and a significant maternal figure for the three children.
