Kelsey Grammer to Piers Morgan: 'Real Housewives my Parting Gift' to Camille

Actor Kelsey Grammer has made a string of talk show appearances where he was supposed to discuss his new show "Boss," but instead spoke about the drama between him and his feuding ex-wife.

In two instances, once on an Australian morning talk show called "Sunrise," and on CNN’s “Piers Morgan,” Grammer did not hesitate to bash his ex-wife, Camille Grammer, when she was brought up.

Camille is one of the stars of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," and Kelsey claims to be the cause of it.

He told Morgan, "The Real Housewives was my parting gift to her. Now whether or not it worked out for her doesn't matter. It was my way of saying 'Look you always wanted to be famous, here you go.'"

He goes on to say Camille was looking for the attention of Hollywood and wanted all the perks that came along with it. Kelsey explained how it was apparent their marriage was falling apart on the show and he knew the end was near.

He recalled a specific conversation he and Camille had. "I knew when it came up we'd be saying goodbye. After the first season you can do the divorced wives of Beverly Hills."

Morgan brought up comments Grammer had made upon marrying Camille talking about her being the perfect one for him. "There was a still small voice in the back of my head saying...this isn't going to work," he said, explaining how he used to psyche himself up to try and work it out.

Grammer married British TV personality Kayte Walsh earlier this year. He tells Morgan that one of the most hurtful things Camille said to him involved a traumatic time in his and Kayte's life.

"The thing that she said that hurt me the most -- that I think that hurt both Kayte and me -- was the thing about the child we lost, and something about it being karma. That was disgusting," he said.

At the moment, Kelsey and his ex-wife are in the middle of a heated custody battle over his 9-year-old daughter Mason and 7-year-old son Jude.

Grammer's interview with Morgan will air Monday with his new show, "Boss," debuting Oct. 21 on Starz!
