Kim Kardashian Baby: Kanye West 'Serious' About Naming Baby North

Kim Kardashian is just four months away from her baby's due date and a new report claims Kanye West recently picked out what he believes is an ideal name for the couple's first child.

The 35-year-old rapper has reportedly proposed the name "North" for what sources claim will be a baby girl. He allegedly believes that it compliments his last name, although this could become a problem for Kardashian, who is said to be intent on carrying her family's tradition of "K" themed names.

"Kanye's ego is something else, so he's quite serious about the title," a source told The Sun U.K. about the unusual moniker.

"He also has a sense of humor though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It's half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true," the source added.

West, who prides himself on being unique, has previously been open about his admiration for hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, and some critics are now questioning whether the unusual baby name may have been inspired by baby Blue Ivy.

In 2012 Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce welcomed baby Blue into the world. North will undoubtedly be on par with Blue Ivy in terms of unique baby names.

Beyonce, 31, and Jay-Z, 42, are also said to have influenced Kardashian, 32, and West to take extreme measures to protect their privacy when the reality star goes in to labor.

In January 2012, Beyonce reportedly spent in excess of $1.3 million for tight security at Lenox Hill hospital when she gave birth to Blue Ivy. Kardshian and West will reportedly follow suit.

"They definitely want their s--- to be on lock and don't want nosy a-- people all up in they stuff," a source close to the couple told HollywoodLife.com.

Various reports stated that the Beyonce and Jay-Z paid the substantial sum to rent out an entire wing at the private New York hospital, which ultimately inconvenienced other patients. The couple reportedly hired an overzealous team of bodyguards and demanded that security cameras be taped over- something fans anticipate Kardashian and West will do as well.

"It's going to be like Fort Knox at whatever hospital they deliver at," the source said.
