Kim Kardashian Divorce: Star Refuses Divorce Interview Exclusive on Kris Humphries Split

Kim Kardashian has refused to grant any media source an exclusive interview to discuss her divorce from Kris Humphries.

The reality TV star and her entire family are well-known for optimizing their media exposure at every opportunity; selling photos and stories about their personal lives. Therefore, her silence surrounding her divorce comes as a surprise to many.

According to news sources, Kim’s prenuptial agreement prohibits her from speaking ill about her soon-to-be ex husband, and vice versa, for the time being.

Although the 31-year-old remains quiet about her divorce, her mother, Kris Jenner, appeared on “The View,” “Good Morning America,” as well as “The Today Show” last week. Jenner defended Kim’s decision and continued to promote the family brand with her QVC line and her new book.

In her first public appearance since announcing her divorce, Kardashian revealed that she is having a hard time while appearing on Australian television. Alongside her sister Khloe she divulged that maintaining her public appearances since the announcement has been a challenge.

“I wanted to stick with my commitment to come out here to Australia,” said Kardashian. “Of course I do want some time to myself, and it’s a tough thing to go through. But we’re getting through it. That’s really all I can do.”

The reality TV star commented on her recent decision to end her marriage, saying: “You just have to listen to your intuition, and follow your heart. There’s no right or wrong thing to do.”

Kardashian and Humphries were married only 72 days after an elaborate and well-publicized engagement and wedding ceremony. E! featured their wedding as a 2-day television special, “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event” which earned the network its highest ratings ever.

Amid rumors and attacks that the wedding was a sham, Kardashian told the Australian television network that none of it is true.

“What upsets me most is that there’s been, from the start, so many rumors of money and dollar signs – so much of it not being true.”

She added, “It’s what you get for living your life so publicly on a reality show. I get that… that comes along with the territory. But that also teaches me I kind of want to step back a little.”

Kardashian’s reality television show with her sister, “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” begins its second season on E! later this month.
