"She thinks he is pushing the envelope a bit too far when he brings up religion and is always picking a fight," the source explained.

During a recent interview with Philadelphia radio station Hot 107.9, the hip hop artist, who is engaged to Kim Kardashian, cockily hailed himself a "creative genius." While fans applauded his confidence, critics blasted his comment as being "obnoxious."

"People get mad at me saying that I am a creative genius, but it's just obvious. It's, like, factual," West told Hot 107.9.

"I would write creative genius when I go through the airport ... I would put that on customs [forms], where you put what your title is, except for two reasons: it takes too long to write and sometimes I spell the word genius wrong," he continued.

More recently West, who shares a 6-month-old daughter with Kardashian, sparked outrage after comparing his daring stage maneuvers to the risks facing a cop or a soldier at war.

"I'm just giving of my body on the stage and putting my life at risk, literally. When I think about when I'm on the Can't Tell Me Nothing, and Coldest Winter moment, like that mountain goes really, really high. And if I slipped… You never know. And I think about it," he told SaturdayNightOnline.com.

"I think about my family and I'm like, wow, this is like being a police officer or something, in war or something. Like you literally going out to do your job every day, knowing that something could happen," he continued. "Something can happen to you."

Other notably controversial comments West has made in recent weeks include his comparisons of Kardashian and the iconic Marilyn Monroe, and of his daughter North and the royal baby.
