Kris Jenner Told Kim Kardashian Her Marriage Was 'Not Normal'

On Sunday night’s episode of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” the younger Kardashian admitted that she may have rushed into marriage.

“My heart is telling me I did this too fast," Kim said.

When explaining the unsettling feelings to mother Kris Jenner on a trip to Dubai, the younger woman seemed happy to get away from her husband.

“I feel like this huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders since I’ve been here in Dubai," Kardashian said. "Being away from my husband … I’m back to myself. I’m enjoying this feeling."

Jenner gave her daughter advice in the episode, warning her that there may be signs of trouble in the marriage.

"Your dad and I were obsessed with each other," Jenner told daughter. "I didn’t want him to even go to work. I mean, I was so excited for at least 10 years ... This is not normal, that you don't want to go home to your new husband."

Kim seemed to learn life lessons in front of her fans in the episode.

"There’s something in my relationship that I just feel like isn’t right," Kardashian said. "I’m just learning a lot of things about him that I never knew before. Married life just isn’t what I thought it would be like with him."

Marriage For Today Christian-based marriage coach Mike Fox told The Christian Post that the Kardashian family’s view on marriage may reflect their spiritual standing.

“Kim and the family are by no means a spiritual family,” Fox said in a previous interview. “It has an impact on her current perspective.”

Kim’s perspective on marriage could potentially negatively impact viewers, according to Fox.

“It’s always a facade to hear from public figures how their personal choices have nothing to do with anyone else which is simply not true, especially when it comes to the artistic side of entertainment and media,” Fox told CP. “Kim Kardashian is not just a political figure, so her spectrum of influence is much broader.”
