Kutcher $290 Million Court Battle

Now that the air has settled around the divorce of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, the next step in this chronic Hollywood process is getting a lawyer and a calculator.

The net worth between the two is reported to be $290 million. However, under California common property law, it will be split right down the middle.

Kutcher left the cornfields of Iowa to pursue a modeling career. The Biochemical engineering dropout took his talents to New York before settling in Los Angeles.

When the couple met in 2003, Kutcher was just beginning his professional career. Starring as Michael Kelso in “That 70’s Show,” the sitcom was a launching pad to what became a formidable empire. With investments in numerous technology startups reportedly including Skype, and his own production company Kat-y-list productions, as well as a few restaurants, Kutcher's fortune speaks for itself.

His upcoming ex-wife is also aware of the size of his wallet. Sources close to the couple reported that Moore is heartbroken over his infidelities that caused their six-year marriage to fail.

“She wants to punish him financially because of the way he has broken her heart,” said the source.

However, Demi Moore is not struggling by any means. When Kutcher was swooned by her, 15 years his senior, she had already established herself as a Hollywood big hitter. Her films like “G.I. Jane” and “Striptease” made her a household name.

She was the highest paid actress early in the 90s, garnering $10 million a film for roles in “A Few Good Men” and “Indecent Proposal.”

This is her third marriage to end in divorce. Her first was to Freddy Moore a musician in 1980. Her second was to another established Hollywood talent, Bruce Willis. Together Willis and Moore have three daughters ages 17, 20, and 23.

Kutcher’s $800,000 per episode for the sitcom “Two and a Half Men” and Moore’s $90 million divorce settlement from former husband Willis are reportedly also on the table.

Divorce lawyer Paul Catsandoni, who is not involved in the case, said: “Ashton’s alleged affair also won’t affect the division of funds. If they didn’t sign a pre-up, they can expect to split their worth in half.”
