MacBook Pro 2012 Release Date, Specs and Retina Display Confirmed

Apple opened its World Developers Conference Monday and immediately unveiled what everyone's been waiting to hear from the company the past few weeks; the new MacBook Pro.

Apple's Phil Schiller took to the stage to introduce the world to the highest resolution notebook in the world, confirming that the new MacBook Pro will have a Retina display as expected. Upon announcing the Retina display and revealing the new laptop will have four times the pixels than the current version, WWDC delegates gave a huge round of applause to Schiller.

The new MacBook Pro will be 25 percent thinner than the older version, which means it will be just 0.7 inches thick, weighing only 4.46 pounds – making it the lightest MacBook Pro ever released.
