Madonna and Nicki Minaj Cause Uproar With Kiss in New Video

In a new video from her upcoming untitled album, pop music icon Madonna has continued to spark controversy and rebuke from the religious community by kissing rapper Nicki Minaj in what some are recognizing as a rather unoriginal stunt.

Madonna’s song, “Give Me All Your Love” features controversial female rappers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

Despite the stunt becoming a regular feature for Madonna’s publicity Minaj seemed by surprised by the incident tweeting enthusiastically: “OH MY f*****g Gahhhh!!!!! MADONNA jus kissed me!!!!! On the lips!!!!!!! It felt sooooo good. Soooo soft!!!! *passes out* aaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!”

Rather distastefully she further tweeted: “*kisses each one of my barbz so they too can taste queen madonna* I love u guys sooo much!!!! This video is of epic proportion! Love uuuu!!! (sic).”

All three women are no strangers to controversial music videos. Both Madonna and M.I.A. made AOL music’s list of the Top 10 Most Controversial Music Videos in Pop.

At the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, Madonna issued a similar stunt by kissing fellow pop stars Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

During her 2006 Confessions Tour, Madonna angered Religious groups by hanging from a cross and wearing a crown of thorns onstage.

"Is Madonna prepared to take on everything else that goes with wearing a crown of thorns? And why would someone with so much talent seem to feel the need to promote herself by offending so many people?" said a spokesman from the Church of England.

"It is downright offensive. Madonna's use of Christian imagery is an abuse and it is dangerous,” David Muir of the Evangelical Alliance has previously said about Madonna’s cross stunt.

Madonna’s now infamous 1989 video for “Like a Prayer” was condemned by the Vatican for its burning crosses and sexualized saints.

Madonna recently confirmed she will perform at the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime show next February.
