Singapore's City Harvest Church pastor Kong Hee and his family have continued their recent global ministry tour by visiting for the first time Johannesburg in South Africa, with Kong stating the impressive revival in the country has "exploded" something inside them.

"Sun Ho (Official), Dayan and I have been so blown away during this first-ever ministry trip of ours to Soweto, a township of the city of Johannesburg in South Africa, which borders the city's mining belt in the south. We have spent the past days with Bishop Mosa Sono and his really amazing congregation at Grace Bible Church Soweto," Kong wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.

"What Sun has said in this video perfectly describes all we have felt so far --- we have EXPLODED inside us ... the revival that is happening here in South Africa is real and they are truly winning the lost," he added, noting that he sees a "openness and spiritual hunger for Jesus and His Word" in the country.

Ho, who is also a pastor at CHC, told the congregation at Grace Bible Church in the video:

"I am so blown away, I feel like I have exploded inside me, I feel like heaven and earth have met in this place. The glory of God is so amazing," she said.

South Africa has a predominately Christian population according to the CIA World Factbook, with 36.6 percent of the people belonging to Protestant denominations, and another 36 percent part of different Christian groups, not counting minority Pentecostals and Catholics.

Kong, who faces an eight year prison sentence back home in Singapore for misusing $35 million in church donations, subject to appeal, has been touring Asia extensively this past year, and has remarked on a growing "hunger" for Jesus in a number of countries.

Back in April he ministered in Japan, one of the most atheistic countries in the world, and shared his expectations for a great revival in the country.

"We have a deep love for Japan and for our beautiful Japanese brothers and sisters-in-Christ. Their hearts are so hungry for the Lord Jesus and His Church. They are believing that God is opening up Heaven and pouring out His Holy Spirit afresh upon this generation," Kong said at the time.

"Sun and I were so stirred and moved in our spirits. We can hear the sound of revival in our hearts, and sense that the harvest is definitely ripening," he added.

The CHC pastor has also ministered to Chinese Christians who are suffering from increased government persecution back home, and in June held a mass revival event where 1,100 pastors from Southeast Asia, including China, attended.

"According to some reports, China will have more Christians than the U.S.A. by 2030. Let us arise and be His laborers for the plentiful harvest," Kong said.
