Monday Night Television: DWTS, Two and a Half Men - What to Watch?

Prime time television will offer viewers several entertaining series, movies, and games this Monday evening.

Kicking off the sixth round of performances, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” features hit Broadway shows as its theme this week. The seven remaining couples return to the dance floor and will await possible elimination on Tuesday based on their scores Monday night.

Performances by Chaz Bono, Ricki Lake, and David Arquette on “DWTS” will start at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Another reality competition show involves talented singers on “The Sing-Off.” Contestants continue to battle for the cappella championship title. Hosted by Nick Lachey, NBC’s singing contest airs at 8 p.m. EST.

CBS will feature sitcoms “How I Met Your Mother,” “2 Broke Girls,” and “Two and A Half Men” starting at 8 p.m. EST. Viewers will have to choose between VH1’s reality series “Basketball Wives” and Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” both of which start at 8 p.m.

In sports, FOX will air Game 5 in the World Series. The St. Louis Cardinals will face the Texas Rangers at 7:30 p.m. Also, Monday Night Football will see the Ravens face the Jaguars on ESPN at 8:30 p.m.

New episodes of CNN shows “Anderson Cooper 360” and “Pies Morgan Tonight” will air at 8 and 8:30 p.m. on the news channel Monday, while HGTV will air episodes of “House Hunters” from 8 p.m. through the rest of the evening.

In lieu of upcoming Halloween festivities, many networks are playing host to horror and science-fiction movies this Monday.

AMC will air 1978’s “Halloween” starting at 8 p.m. The horror film chronicles the story of a psychopathic murderer in a Midwestern town.

The 1998 film “Practical Magic” starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock will be featured on ABC’s Family cable channel. Starting at 8:30 p.m., the movie follows a detective’s investigation of magic.

The Hallmark channel will see “Martha Stewart’s Haunted House,” as the host discusses Halloween-inspired projects starting at 8 p.m.
