Real Housewives of Atlanta NeNe Leakes Questions Why Porsha Stewart Wants to Keep Kordell's Name
NeNe Leakes is questioning her friend and "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" fellow cast member Porsha Stewart's decision not to revert back to her maiden name of Williams amid her highly public divorce.
Stewart, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" reality television star, learned through Twitter that her estranged former NFL playing husband Kordell was divorcing her last March. While Stewart spend much of season five of her showcasing her marriage, season six shows viewers how she is getting through a difficult divorce.
Still, 32-year-old Stewart has publicly declared that she will keep the surname that she acquired after marrying her estranged husband. However Leakes, the 45-year-old actress from "Glee" is speaking out against the idea.

Leakes took to her personal blog on www.neneleakesofficial.com to speak directly to Porsha about not wanting to revert to her maiden name Williams when the divore is finalized.
"This is for you, Porsha: If you are so done with Kordell, be done with his last name as well," Leakes wrote. "You guys don't have children together, so why hold on to something that was negative for you?"
Earlier this month Stewart appeared on "The Wendy Williams Show," where she explained why she was keeping her surname.
"I'm going to keep Stewart. A lot of people say, 'Why?! Give him his name,'" she told talk show host Wendy Williams. "It's not his name, it's my name. I was Porsha Williams at one part in my life before I got married."
Now, Stewart said she is a completely different woman.
"Marriage has taught me so much," she told Williams. "I'm a whole other woman now so I'm going to own that last name. It belongs to me."
Porsha, the granddaughter of civil-rights leader Hosea Williams, was shocked by the news of her divorce and publicly admitted it. On her reality television show, she has detailed being mistreated by her estranged husband.
However, Leakes feels that both Kordell and Porsha are getting out of hand by speaking negatively about one another publicly.
"This situation with Porsha and Kordell has totally gotten out of hand! I hate when a couple breaks up and they just sling dirt on each other," Leakes wrote. "When we met Porsha, she claimed to be living a fabulous, loving life with Kordell and now it's all a lie. I'm not involved in their relationship, but I can say it's sad to hear all the negativity."
