These shows were filmed at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, FL and inspired several reincarnations of the show throughout the 90s and early 00s.

The burning question for a many a child in the 90s was "What's in the slime?"

Now a little over 10 years since the last new episode of "Double Dare," former show host Marc Summers, currently host of Food Networks "Unwrapped" for the last 10 years, reveals what went into the slimy concoction.

"The base was vanilla pudding, applesauce, oatmeal, green food coloring, and by the third day, anything else that was on the obstacle course. Was it edible? For the first hour or so."

"All I ever wanted to do was host a game show, and it wasn't until 1986 when I auditioned," said Summers. He wasn't supposed to audition but after a friend backed out, he gave it a shot. 1,200 people tried out in New York and 1,000 people in L.A. auditioned as well, and he won.

"It's just fun being your self...I'm pretty good at being Marc Summers, and so take my own personality put it in front of a camera, ask questions, give people money, it's kind of a good job," Summers said of his life as a game show host.

"Double Dare" aired from 1986 to 1992, and then had a brief revival with "Double Dare 200" in 2000. The show featured trivia questions and messy physical stunts. Wrong answers or failed attempts at activities would often result in being "slimed."

"Slime Time Live" aired on Nickelodeon from 2000 to 2003. The show featured call in guests asking questions to contestants, and physical competitions like "Double Dare." The show also featured many celebrity guests like Bow Wow, Romeo, 3LW, and Jump5.
