Bobbi Kristina Brown Comforted by Oprah Winfrey in Sneak Peek Interview (VIDEO)
Houston Family Sits Down With Talk Show Host to Discuss Whitney's Death, Bobby Brown, More
Earlier this week it was announced that Oprah Winfrey would be conducting the first interview with Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, since the singer's untimely death in February. A preview from the exclusive interview has already been released and shows Winfrey comforting the young teen.
In the preview, Winfrey, who was a longtime friend of the late singer and attended her funeral in Newark, N.J., is seen embracing the 19-year-old aspiring singer.
The interview will also see Winfrey speaking to Houston's brother Gary, and her sister-in-law and former manager Patricia.
Winfrey asks Houston's brother Gary his opinion of Bobby Brown and asks a teary eyed Patricia, one of Houston's closest confidants, how she is coping with the loss of her friend and family member.
The special is set to air next Sunday at 9 p.m. on OWN. The interview will be part of "Oprah's Next Chapter" series.
A press release by OWN said that in the exclusive, Bobbi Kristina would be sharing "personal memories of her mom and how she would like the iconic superstar to be remembered."
Houston's family will also be addressing rumors surrounding her death, according to the press release. Prior to the interview, OWN will re-air Winfrey's last interview with Houston conducted in 2009 from "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
Houston, 48, was found submerged in a bathtub at her Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel room on Feb. 11. Houston died the day before the Grammy Awards but her cause of death remains unknown.
Beverly Hills police officials have said that they do not believe that any foul play was involved in the singer's death. As of now, the official cause of Houston's death remains undetermined and her death certificate states that the manner of death is "pending investigation."
Officials are awaiting results from a pending toxicology test, which could be completed shortly.
