Paula Deen's Racist Comments Go Viral: 'Paula's Best Dishes' Explodes on Twitter
Paula Deen is at the center of a growing Twitter trend after it was alleged that she admitted to using the n-word and telling racial jokes during a May 17 deposition.
Reports allege that Deen, 66, admitted to using the n-word and using racially insensitive jokes that denigrate minorities.
"The personal disclosures uncovered have stunned Paula's family and could mark the collapse of her entire empire," a source told Radar Online.
The Emmy-winning celebrity chef was supposedly questioned for several hours in connection with a $1.2 million lawsuit that was filed in 2012.
In the lawsuit the former General Manager of a Savannah, Georgia, restaurant, Lisa Jackson, claimed use Deen repeatedly used the of the n-word and was sexually harassed and assaulted by her brother Bubba Hiers.
The revelations have sparked a Twitter craze and hashtag #paulasbestdishes where users have created racial connotations using food dishes.
"Back Of The Bus Biscuits #PaulasBestDishes," one user wrote.
"'I can't believe they freed you!' Fried Chicken #PaulasBestDishes," wrote another.
It may not be that surprising, given that there have been previous instances of Dean using racially insensitive language.
A Paula Deen blooper reel video shocked fans of the celebrity cook after the clips of her churning out profanity and acting out sexual innuendoes was revealed.
The clips were obtained by The New York Post and show the Food Network cook cursing in blooper reels, as well as performing a mock sex act on an item of food.
"Cannot believe what I saw Paula Deen doing in that blooper," user "TJFensberg" posted online.
It has been reported that Deen's own camp put together the blooper reel video themselves and had created it for a multi-city event called "Celebrity Chefs Tour."
However, the video was blocked before ever being shown publicly as it was deemed too "profane," according to The NY Post.
