President Barack Obama touted the Affordable Care Act to young Americans in a recent interview with Zach Galifiankis on his show "Between Two Ferns," and some conservatives said that, if nothing else, it is "pretty funny."

"First of all let me just say, I wouldn't be here today if I didn't have something to plug. Have you ever heard of the Affordable Care Act?" asked Obama.

"Oh yeah, I've heard about that, that's the thing that doesn't work," replied Galifianakis.

Obama quickly silenced that characterization.

"Heathcare.gov works great now, and millions of Americans have already gotten health insurance plans and what we want is for people to know that you can get affordable healthcare," he said before aiming right at the heart of his pitch.

"Most young Americans right now, they are not covered. And the truth is they can get covered all for what it costs to pay your cell phone bill," he said.

Galifianakis then asked, "Is this what they mean by drone?"

"The point is that a lot of young people they think they are invincible," continued Obama, ignoring his host. "If they get that health insurance they can really make a big difference and they've got 'til March 31 to sign up."

'"Two Ferns" with Zach Galifianakis is a comedic talk show featuring interviews with celebrity guests seated between two potted ferns. The guests often promote a product and Obama, along with trading some well-timed barbs, touted Obamacare to young Americans.

Conservative columnist Robert Laurie commented about the interview on his Facebook page, writing, "OK, I'm going to go against the Conservative-columnist grain here. I like Zach Galifianakis and 'Between Two Ferns.' So, I think this is pretty funny. Feel free to hate me."

"I think Barack Obama's appearance on 'Between Two Ferns' is pretty funny...if you're going to go out and shill for your trainwreck healthcare law, this is the way to do it. Unlike Michelle Obama's horrifically unfunny 'Tonight Show' interview, this is quality pandering," Laurie noted in his op-ed about the interview.

Next, Obama explained how people can sign-up online, by telephone or in person.

Before that, however, Galifiankis also called the president a nerd among his series of barbs and this is what he had to say.

"You said if you had a son you would not let him play football. What makes you think he would want to play football? What if he was a nerd like you?" asked Galifianakis.

"Do you think a woman like Michelle would marry a nerd? Why don't you ask her whether she thinks I'm a nerd?" responded Obama.

"Could I?" asked Galifianakis.

"No, I'm not gonna let her anywhere near you," said Obama.
