Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2, JellyBean Update Screenshots Leaked

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update should be arriving in the near future with screenshots of the new firmware surfacing on the internet this week.

These new images display the smartphone-tablet hybrid device running the latest build of the software which is likely still in test mode.

The screenshots were taken from a pre-release test ROM for the Galaxy Note 2 that leaked from the Samsung R&D center. The firmware has a build number N7100XXDLJ2.

The official update is expected to begin rolling out in the coming weeks.

New features expected to arrive with this version of JellyBean include a new ink effect animation on the lock screen, new Group Cast application, updated notification toggles, customizable notification panel, and a swipe-like continuous input for the Samsung Keyboard.

The software is currently undergoing testing for the Galaxy S3 and is said to be stable and almost ready.

The official roll out of JellyBean to the Galaxy S3 is expected to happen in the next few weeks and it will bring the Multi-view feature that's currently available on the Galaxy Note 2 to the S3 smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.1, JellyBean started rolling out for T-Mobile users last week.

The upgrade is now available for the SGH-T999 Galaxy S3 model and T-Mobile users can access it through Samsung KIES or OTA over-the-air.

The update brings improvements to the software including Google Now, and Project Butter that improves the frame rate and performance of the handset, making visuals and transitions much smoother.

AT&T and Verizon users are expected to receive the update in the next two weeks and Sprint users were the first to get it earlier this month.
