Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.1, JellyBean Upgrade Coming in Fourth Quarter?
The Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note could be receiving the Android 4.1, JellyBean update in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Galaxy S3 is expected to receive the update in the near future as the software is rumored to be testing on the device at the moment and should be released by late Q3 or early Q4.

Rumors also point to Android 4.1, JellyBean currently testing on the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note. Samsung has not confirmed that these devices will receive the update as the company could be waiting to see how the tests go before making an official announcement.
The Galaxy Note 2 is expected to launch later on this month and it is unclear what software it will be released with at the moment. It is said to be running Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, however, that could change by the time it launches.
The Galaxy S2 already runs CyanogenMod 10, a ROM that brings a build of JellyBean to the device.
The ROM has its fair share of bugs, but can give Galaxy S2 owners an idea of how the software will run on the smartphone if Samsung decides to roll out an official update.
Some tech publications have stated that the S2 might not be able to run an official build of the software efficiently, however, others feel that if the Galaxy Nexus can run it then the S2 should not have a problem doing so.
The official Android 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich is now available for AT&T's Galaxy S2, and Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. It can be accessed OTA and was launched in July.
